| Question: How many estimates do I need to get? |
Answer: Having worked with most every insurance company it is our experience that the first step is for you to select a restoration contractor that you feel you can trust and work with. If you select Landmark, then it becomes our job to prepare an accurate estimate of the necessary work to be performed. We then meet with your adjuster and come to an agreement on the details of what is paid for by the insurance companies and what is not. The insurance companies call this an "agreed price." |
| Question: Who pays Landmark? |
Answer: The property owner. The insurance company will issue a check to you the property owner. The check will usually have your name, your bank's name if you have a mortgage, and Landmark's name. Sometimes on a smaller loss, they won't put the bank's name on the check. It will then be mailed to you. If the check has the bank's name on it, the bank will want to hold the money and disburse the funds after inspecting the repairs. If the bank's name is not on the check, you endorse it and give it to us. |
